This privacy policy is applicable to the DogPulse app (hereinafter referred to as "Application") for mobile devices, which was developed by André Crous (hereinafter referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is provided "AS IS".

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

The Application does not require registration. All data you enter – including dog profiles, daily health logs, weight records, photos, medications, and vet visit information – is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to or accessible by the Service Provider.

What information does the Application collect automatically?

The Application uses Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to collect anonymised usage data, such as which features are used and how often, to help improve the app. This may include a device identifier and general usage events, but never your dog's health data. No personal data entered into the app (dog profiles, health logs, photos, etc.) is included in this collection. You can find Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Does the Application collect precise real-time location information of the device?

This Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Does the Application use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies?

The Application uses Anthropic’s Claude API to analyse dog health log data and generate pattern insights. When you choose to run an AI analysis, anonymised dog health data (including energy levels, mood, appetite, water intake, bathroom habits, symptoms, exercise, weight, breed, and age) is transmitted to Anthropic’s API for processing. No human personal data is included in this transmission. Anthropic’s privacy policy applies to this processing and can be found at anthropic.com/privacy. AI-generated insights are observations only and do not constitute veterinary advice.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

The Application transmits data to third parties only in the following limited circumstances: dog health log data is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API solely for the purpose of generating AI insights at your explicit request. No data is sold or shared for advertising purposes. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

The Service Provider may disclose user-provided information only in the following circumstances:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;

• to trusted service providers who work on their behalf, who have no independent use of the information disclosed to them, and who have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy policy.
